Jump scared by an electric toothbrush

I was alone with our dog last night and suddenly there was some drilling sound inside our place.

The drilling sound was quickly followed by a loud thud and then even louder drilling that sounded like someone was drilling into our walls.

Turned out that my electric toothbrush has literally gone haywire and turned itself on, and eventually fell onto a wooden stand in our bathroom. Even after I switched it off It was turning on and off by itself intermittently. I ended up wrapping it with towels and isolated it to another room. It was due for recharging earlier last night but it still hasn't run out of battery the last time I checked.

I don't usually get jump scared too badly but that really was on a whole differently level. o___o It would have been heaps scarier if Cookie weren't around.
