Just pick up the phone and call!

I had a great conversation with a friend this afternoon, and at one point I reiterated that it's totally fine to just call me whenever. I then quickly realised that I often think of calling people but don't end up doing it.

I usually ditch the thought of calling pretty quickly, assuming the person is probably busy or that I have nothing important to say — even with people I'm close to. And, of course ironically, I would often receive a call from them shortly after.

The silly things we assume and (not) do.
